We had a spot on the driveway where we had an existing camera but we wanted a floodlight! Along came the flood light mount from Blink which ticked all the boxes for us:
- Connects to existing Blink Camera
- Battery powered
- Easy to Install
- Good low price, and good value for money!
Check out our video for the unboxing, setup and install of the floodlight mount:
The mount was really easy to setup. As you can see in the video we had to remove an old light first of all. I made the wiring safe before install the new mount.
The mount simple simply screws into any surface material. It does come with wall plugs if you are installing onto/into masonry.
The setup in the Blink app did take a couple of attempts, but once it detected the floodlight it simply integrated into the Blink ecosystem.
IMPORTANT – The light would only activate for us when the system is armed. This kind of makes sense, but it would be good if the light could be armed independently.
Overall we’re very happy with our new light. Very easy to install and setup, and it works perfectly when your system is armed. At £35 its a very good option if you have an existing camera already especially!
Any questions please leave them here or on YouTube!!
Thanks for reading and good luck if you purchase the floodlight!

Hello there!
I have a Blink outdoor camera attached to the floodlight and base. I had to change the batteries in the floodlights, which I have managed! (I’m a 56 year old woman with rheumatoid arthritis!), but, I want to get the back off the actual camera to scan the QR code! Can you tell me how to remove the camera from the floodlight mount? Is it just brute force pulling or a special method? Thank you so much!
Best wishes and thank you for your helpful videos!
